LARC Motors

As a hybrid cross between linear motors, axial air gap motors, and rotary motors, the LARC Series covers many applications for limited angle motion at large diameters to low profile turret rotation.

Features:

• Optional sizes - from 30 mm to over 1000 mm. Special sizes can also be created with short lead time. 
• Low Profile  – flat single sided magnet track can be extended to large diameters while keeping with low profile needs.
• Arc-Segments – the perfect modular motor. Arc segments are available and can be used for limited angle, or to be assembled for full rotation at large diameters.
• Optional Windings – Select your voltage, speed and current, Applimotion will create a special winding to optimize torque or efficiency.
• Sinusoidal Torque Curves – motor designs for optimum performance with sinusoidal current control.
• Great generators – this motor type offers very low internal magnetic losses and can be configured as very efficient generator.
• Zero Axial Force and Cogging  - slotless air-core construction is standard and creates zero attractive force. Perfect for air bearing systems. Backing iron can be added if axial loading is preferred for preloading purposes.
• Optional Hall Device Feedback – internally mounted PCA or externally mounted hall device board available.
